BeBlock produces advanced bioethanol, a stand-alone liquid biofuel that can power vehicles and provide heat to buildings. BeBlock can be combined with a Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC) fuelled by advanced bioethanol generating clean electricity, heat and water for buildings such as airports, arenas, festivals, museums, office blocks, restaurants, stadiums, universities as well as other similar premises.

Creating advanced bioethanol can eventually help to displace and diminish the need to utilise liquid fossil fuels and unsustainable chemicals, reducing our anthropogenic emissions.

Studies suggest that biofuels can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 65%. Advanced liquid biofuels such as bioethanol are fundamental in helping to decarbonise heat used in homes and buildings as well as the transportation sector.

We feel that second generation biofuels should not be overlooked if we are to transition to a low-carbon economy and an ecologically sustainable future.

We are also researching into and developing a process which produces biomethanol from mixed food waste that can fuel a Direct Methanol Fuel Cell (DMFC).


We have developed our technology along with leading university academics and the most highly regarded industry professionals to create an advanced bioethanol fuel that is superior in converting food waste to energy than what is currently available on the market.

We are continually looking to improve and refine the processes involved in the development of BeBlock in order to create a highly efficient and more productive method of converting food waste into energy.

Blockchain technology will help to remove one of the largest barriers currently preventing users from adopting sustainable electricity on a large scale.

Implementing this innovative technology into our system will not only enable our users to buy and sell their bioenergy on a peer-2-peer (P2P) network securely, transparently and in real-time but will also help us to fulfil our mission.

Furthermore, users will also have the opportunity to sell their energy back to the grid network or directly to their neighbours via our customised blockchain platform.

Fundamentally, blockchain is a digital (smart) contract permitting an individual party to conduct and bill a transaction, for example, a sale of electricity directly (P2P) with another party.

The P2P concept means that all transactions are stored on a network of computers comprising: the computers of the provider and the customer participating in a transaction as well as computers of many other network participants.

Blockchain alters the way that we traditionally transact, moving towards a decentralised transaction model and system.

Smart devices and smart meters will be able to talk to the blockchain and utilise the blockchain’s functioning as a distributed record of transaction data. This data can then be used to create a comprehensive archive of all electricity billing data.

Our BeBlock Blockchain technology will become a tool for consumers to use for meter reading and billing purposes in connection with their digital electricity meters.

The key will be the added control consumers would gain over their electricity supply contracts and consumption data.

With the UK and European governments target to roll out smart meter technology in every home by the year 2020, it will not only be obligatory to install intelligent measurement equipment for the purpose of metering but also transmitting the energy demand of consumers and the energy output of producers.
